IRISH folk and country singer Brendan Shine is no slacker. Over the past 30 years he has put out more than 50 albums and he's lost count of live gigs altogether.
The musician began playing in his father's country band while still at school. He originally made his name as an accordionist before taking up singing and becoming one of Ireland's best-known entertainers. His biggest hit single, Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down, was number one in Ireland for 12 weeks.
He has since performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House to name but a few.
Last summer Brendan topped the Irish charts with his new single Grandad.
He will perform at the Arts Centre on Tuesday at 7.30pm. Tickets are £18.50. To book go to swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 524481.
