THOUSANDS of pounds-worth of fishing equipment has been stolen from a town centre home.
Wiltshire Police are now appealing for information following the burglary on Saturday, February 18.
Between 5.15pm and 7pm someone broke in to a house in Curtis Street and stole thousands of pounds worth of fishing gear.
The equipment included Fox fishing gear, including six and 12-foot rods.
PC Andrew Caldwell said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in this area at this time.
“Curtis Street is close to the town centre, did you see anyone carrying fishing rods through the town around this time, perhaps this seemed odd to you?
“Also, if you see any equipment like this for sale at a suspiciously cheap price please come forward.”
Anyone who can help police with their enquiries is asked to contact PC Andrew Caldwell on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555111.
