POLICE are appealing for information after a burglary at a house in the town centre where a "Jensen" tan colour briefcase was stolen.
The incident happened between 5pm on Monday, February 20 and 1am the following morning at a property on Fritillary Mews.
Among the items in the briefcase were around twenty £5 coins in presentation boxes and a number of family photographs of great sentimental value.
PC Kevin Paynes said: "We are appealing for witnesses, if anyone heard or saw anything suspicious in this area around these times, please contact me.
"Also, if you have been offered for sale any coins like the ones described or seen any for sale, please come forward.
"The victim would also like their family photos back - if you find any discarded anywhere please let us know."
If you can help police with their enquiries contact PC Kevin Payne on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
