PASSENGERS planning on travelling by train this week are being warned to expect further disruption following a weekend of rail replacement services in the Swindon area.
Tonight, tomorrow and Thursday will see replacement bus services run in place of services between Swindon and Chippenham and Bath Spa after 10.15pm.
Late night services between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa will also be affected by engineering work during weeknights this week.
The 11.36pm Swindon to Cheltenham Spa service will be diverted between Swindon and Gloucester with a replacement bus service serving Kemble, Stroud and Stonehouse Post Office.
The works come after a weekend of engineering works were carried out along the line in Swindon, resulting in all trains scheduled to pass through the town being amended.
A GWR spokesman said: “Network Rail will be undertaking work in the Swindon area to prepare for our new trains which enter service later this year. As a result of this, train services through Swindon, Chippenham and Bristol Parkway will be amended.”
