A crash at a notorious accident blackspot near the M4 has seen the main road between Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett closed.
Officers from Wiltshire Police announced shortly before 2pm that the A3102 Swindon Road between Royal Wootton Bassett and Junction 16 of the M4 had been closed due the crash.
A spokesman for Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police said: "We are currently dealing with an RTC near to the Spittleborough junction on the A3102, the road is closed at Spittleborough and Jct 16.
"The road is closed in both directions, please find an alternative route and share with anyone who may be affected by the closure.
"Alternative routes will become congested so please allow extra time for journeys."
UPDATE
The road was reopened at 3.45pm.
