PERSISTENT thief Gareth Fanning was jailed for a total of 30 weeks by magistrates after they ruled his disregard for court orders was flagrant.
Fanning, 32, who is also known as Phillips, admitted stealing pet food valued at £43 from Poundworld, razors worth £34 from Boots in the Brunel Plaza and 24 Surprise Little Sister dolls valued at £144 from the Entertainer in Havelock Square.
Swindon magistrates heard the offences were committed after Chippenham magistrates had imposed a suspended sentence on September 9 for four counts of theft and a previous community order handed down in June for theft and failing to surrender.
Fanning, of Burns Way, Swindon, was ordered to pay a total of £222 in compensation.
