A pensioner has been taken to hospital after sustaining a "potentially life threatening" head injury.
The local man, believed to be in his 80s, was knocked over by a cyclist on Cricklade Road at around 2.40pm.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance was scrambled to the scene.
Police closed off Cricklade Road at the Transfer Bridges Roundabout while paramedics and Wiltshire Air Ambulance specialists attended to the man.
He was taken to Great Western Hospital by ambulance with what police described as "potentially life threatening" head injuries. Police said the man was conscious and breathing.
Cricklade Road was reopened at 3.30pm.
