A teenager who left a man with serious injuries after striking him with a single punch is to face trial to see if he intended serious harm.
Jordan Taylor admitted grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court by videolink.
But the 18-year-old pleaded not guilty to the more serious charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Taylor, of Austen Crescent, Liden, assaulted Malkit Grewal in the town centre in the early hours of Sunday October 29.
Judge Robert Pawson adjourned the case to Monday April 16 and remanded him in custody until then.
