PALOMA Faith has been announced as the final headline act to take to the stage at Westonbirt Arboretum this summer.

She joins a packed line-up featuring The Script, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, and George Ezra.

With her acclaimed Number 1 album The Architect currently riding high in the charts and a BRIT nomination for Best British Female, Paloma Faith announced on Monday that she would be hitting the road with The Architect Summer Tour, which includes dates as part of Forest Live.

So far The Architect has spent eight weeks in the top ten, propelled by the poptastic single Crybaby, the stunning Guilty and latest Til I’m Done. The new album is currently on course to become her fourth double platinum album in a row – which would make her the first British woman in chart history to achieve this.

She will stage four concerts as part of the Forest Live music series, taking in Delamere Forest in Cheshire, Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent, Cannock Chase Forest in Staffordshire, and Westonbirt.

A spokesman for Forest Live, who stage the popular weekend of concerts at the Tetbury arboretum, said: "Equally at home both onstage and in the studio, these shows will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the summer season.

Forest Live is a major live music series, managed by the Forestry Commission. More than 1.5 million people have attended a gig in the programme’s 17-year history. Income generated from ticket sales helps to look after the nation’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.

This summer's concerts at Westonbirt will see The Script kick off the festival on Thursday, June 14. Tickets remain on sale for this concert, priced at £42.50 plus a £4.75 booking fee.

They will be followed on Friday, June 15, by Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, whose performances in Cheshire and North Yorkshire have already sold out. Tickets remain for Westonbirt, priced at £33.50 plus a £3.85 booking fee.

Paloma Faith's performance on the Saturday fills the final remaining slot of this year's season, while George Ezra will close the series on Sunday, June 17. Tickets for his performance cost £34.50 plus a £3.95 booking fee.

Tickets for Paloma Faith's gig will cost £43 plus a £4.80 booking fee, which will go on sale at 9am on Friday from the Forestry Commission box office which can be reached on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
