PUPILS at Meadowpark School and Nursery have won the South West Regional Award for School of the Year
The NSPCC Childhood Champion Award was given for their decade of dedication to fundraising for the charity.
School pupils recently raised £547 with a sponsored walk with their teachers and parents which began at North Meadow and lead to a total of 193 miles being walked.
The headteacher of the school, Rajvinder Kular, will accept the award at a special ceremony in London, which will be attended by HRH The Countess of Wessex, Patron of the NSPCC, and Dame Esther Rantzen, the founder of Childline.
Meadowpark Nursery will hold their annual sponsored bike ride to raise even more money in June.
