CHILDREN had to walk past obscene graffiti sprayed in a Swindon park.
Overnight a budding artist painted two penises on grass in Queen’s Park.
One, around three feet long and outlined in white paint, was left near the York Road gates. The other was painted in black on the main field, where this weekend members of the town's Polish community held an annual fun day.
Queen’s Park is owned by Swindon Borough Council. However, the grass is cut by the borough’s StreetSmart team, paid for by South Swindon Parish Council. The parish clerk said the obscene illustrations had been reported to StreetSmart and would be removed as a matter of urgency.
It is not known exactly when the paintings were left, but the park was left open until after 10.30pm on Tuesday evening.
