WOULD you want to watch England’s World Cup clash with Croatia on a massive open air screen in Swindon?

Other towns across the country boast so-called fanzones, where the matches have been projected onto massive screens.

In Ipswich, Three Lions fans could catch the game outside Ipswich Town Football Club’s stadium. In Manchester, firm Auto Trader came forward over the weekend and agreed to fund a massive screen showing England’s semi final match.

Swindon already has a large outdoor screen in Wharf Green, town centre, although bosses say it has not functioned for some time.
