Just when you thought it was safe to go outside without the factor 50, the heatwave returns.
While it’s been dry and warm for the last few days, high cloud and lower temperatures means we’ve enjoyed more traditional British summer weather.
But the heat will come roaring back – just in time for the weekend, and then for us to go back to work.
The next couple of days will see the mercury top out at a distinctly warm but reasonable enough 24 degrees Celsius, and while rain is not expected, there will be intermittent cloud cover.
The blue skies empty of anything but a blazing sun are expected to return on Saturday with the temperature rising to 25 degrees.
And on Monday after an uncomfortably warm night, we’ll all go back to work with a temperature at 27 degrees, that’s 80.6 degrees in the old money of Fahrenheit.
It should get cooler in midweek, but only by a couple of degrees.
nice on a beach – not so good in the factory or office.
