SWINDON rock band YVES releases its new single today.
The young members of the three-piece band, which won a national bands competition earlier this year, hail from Old Town and Blunsdon.
Called Where Do We Go From Here? the new single has been inspired by heartbreak and is described by the group as a “whirlwind of sizzling, punch-the-air, predatory rock’n’roll”.
Bassist Mitch Dodson said: “Everything is going great in the YVES camp. We’ve had a busy summer of festivals including Isle Of Wight and Y Not."
The band won the national Pirate Prodigy competition earlier this summer, going up against hundreds of artists from around the country.
The competition win has seen them work with producer Howard Jones and play the massive Isle of Wight Festival.
YVES has played more than a dozen concerts so far this year, including their first 11-date UK headline tour. They are expected to return to play in Swindon at the end of the year.
Stream the new single on Spotify or buy it from the iTunes music store or Google Play.
