SEVEN young men accused of taking part in a hammer attack on a boy at his Swindon school will appear in court in November for a hearing to discuss the progress of the case, a crown court judge directed today.

Amjad Qazi, 19, of Broad Street, Swindon, Wasif Khan, 18, of Caversham Close, Swindon, Mohammed Amin, 19 years, of Broad Street Swindon, and four other youths who cannot be identified for legal reasons currently face charges of wounding with intent and causing grievous bodily harm.

Their case was mentioned briefly at Bristol Crown Court before being adjourned to a date to be fixed for a plea and case management hearing in mid November.

Henry Webster, a pupil at Ridgeway, was attacked with a hammer in the school's tennis courts.
