COURT: A Covingham man who broke the terms of a restraining order a fortnight after it was made has been spared an immediate jail term.
Dane Hunter, 44, of Dobbin Close, pleaded guilty to assault and twice breaching his restraining order by visiting a Covingham street on July 16 and 17, two weeks after the order was made by Swindon Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates gave him a 10 month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He must complete 20 alcohol rehab days, pay £300 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
COURT: Marvin Cole, 34, of Kirkstall close, Toothill, will stand trial after he denied a charge of failing to provide a breath specimen for police.
He was bailed for the trial on November 22.
COURT: A Buckinghamshire woman received a conditional discharge after pleading guilty to obstructing a Swindon cop.
Jade Barker, 27, of Woodside Road, High Wycombe, admitted obstructing Swindon’s PC Davis when she was in the town on August 6.
Magistrates gave her a six month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £105 in court costs.
COURT: Damaging a police car earned one Penhill man a £550 bill.
Leam Romain, 25, of Inglesham Road, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was fined £300, must pay £250 to Wiltshire Police and pay £115 in court costs.
