CHILDREN’S hospice at home charity Jessie May is appealing for choirs and bands to volunteer their voices throughout the Christmas period.

The charity, whose nurses provide vital respite care and emotional support to families with a terminally ill child across Swindon and Wiltshire is looking for singing groups and bands to offer their musical talents and perform throughout December.

Singing groups are invited to perform from December 1 at Clifton Down Shopping Centre, who have chosen Jessie May as their nominated charity for 2018/19.

Julian Withers, head of fundraising and communications at Jessie May, said: “Christmas is fast-approaching and we’re now looking to fill the shopping centre with music to get everyone into the festive spirit!

“We’re looking for choirs and other musical groups to fill a slot – or slots! – and perform in the shopping centre to help raise money for our charity.”

As their main charity partner, Clifton Down Shopping Centre has very kindly invited them to fill the centre with music throughout December.

Julian added: “We’re now looking for a lively line-up of performers to keep everyone entertained and help us celebrate the festive season, while raising funds for Jessie May at the same time.

“So if you can lend your voice, even just for a couple of hours, please get in touch with the Jessie May Fundraising Team so we can book you in. We’re so looking forward to celebrating Christmas with the shopping centre and all our supporters – let the countdown begin!”
