A DESIGNER soap brand that supplies the Queen's toiletries opened its new outlet store in Swindon.

Staff at Molton Brown opened the shop’s doors at 9am on Saturday morning, offering free goodie bags to the first customers to spend at least £60 on soaps, moisturisers and creams.

Poppy Kirby, area manager, said: “We’re so excited to be in Swindon so we can delight customers with our products.”

There were a number of lines exclusive to the outlet store, Poppy said, including Molton Brown’s floral Davana range.

First customer in the queue, 45-year-old Asma, said: “I like Molton Brown. I’ve bought the products previously. I thought I’d come and have a look.” The Park North woman didn’t have her eye on anything in particular: “I’m just having a browse.”

Tina Cumpstey, centre manager at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, said she was thrilled to welcome Molton Brown to the Rodbourne shopping centre: “Our guests can now get their hands on luxury bath, body and beauty essentials that have been given the royal seal of approval.”

The Molton Brown store will host a series of drop-in bubble workshops next weekend. The sessions, run by Science Oxford, will give families a glimpse of the science behind bubbles. They will run on Saturday, October 6, 12pm-1.30pm and 2.30pm-4pm.
