BRADON Forest School had a huge harvest haul thanks to hundreds of donations from generous pupils and parents.
Just under 1,300 items were sent in for the Inter-House Harvest Festival competition. Peartree triumphed over Battlewell and the other houses, but it was a close call as donations kept arriving right up until the last minute.
Swindon Food Bank have collected the donated food.
A spokesman for the foodbank said: “We really appreciate such a big haul. This time of year is very important for us as we aim to collect at least half of what we need for the coming year during the autumn.”
A spokesman for Bradon Forest School said: “Thank you to everyone who donated, we hope this will help lots of local families.”
