YOUNG mathematicians in Swindon could be in with a chance of winning top toys.
Children's tuition company Explore Learning, which has a centre in the town, is looking for teams of four primary and secondary school pupils to enter the 2018 National Young Mathematicians Awards.
Year 6 and Year 8 students will have to tackle math problems in three rounds, facing stiff competition from local, regional and then national teams.
The first round will be held at the Bridgemead Sainsbury's on November 7 and 8 from 12pm to 7pm.
The regional round will be held in December.
Then, University Challenge favourite Bobby Seagull will award the winners their prizes at a special ceremony for finalists at the University of Cambridge in January.
To enter, visit explorelearning.co.uk/youngmathematicians by October 19.
Two winning teams and eight runners up will receive prizes from Meccano, Letts Revision, i-Top and Sum Fun.
