POLICE: A 40-year-old man from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of child grooming and breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
Wiltshire Police were called to an address in North Swindon at around 7pm on October 10.
The man they've arrested is currently in police custody.
COURT: A 34-year-old man of no fixed address has been jailed for 12 weeks.
Daniel Melhado pleaded guilty to trespassing and stealing and must also pay £150 in compensation.
On March 7, he entered the stock room and staff area of the Fantasia shop on Commercial Road, then stole a handbag and its contents, which included £100 in cash.
He'd initially pleaded not guilty to the offence but changed his plea before being sentenced.
COURT: A thief from Cricklade will have £368 deducted from her benefits as payback for her thefts.
Nina Austin, 40, of Common Hill stole toiletries and other goods worth £368 from Debenhams on September 26, which she must pay back, then stole £143.49 of similar goods from Tesco on Ocotal Way on October 6.
Austin pleaded guilty to the two thefts and has been given a community order with a two-week electronically-monitored curfew and a rehab activity requirement.
