A MAN needed hospital treatment after being assaulted in a pub car park.

The 50-year-old victim received cuts to his face in the attack at the Running Horse on Wotton Bassett Road around 11.15pm on Saturday.

The suspect has been described as a white male, 6ft tall, of slim-medium build with dark slick black hair.

He was wearing a grey flat cap, green jumper with a white shirt underneath and grey tight trousers.

He had a local accent and it's believed his first name may be Gary.
