A TOUCHING wall of remembrance attracted poignant messages and poppy displays from town centre shoppers.
The display by The Crossing at the Brunel Shopping Centre was set up on November 1 to mark the centenary of the First World War armistice.
Brunel manager Jane Stewart said: "It's been very well-received, it's lovely, I look at it daily.
"This is the end of a four-year commemoration - we did our first memorial wall in 2014.
"What's especially touching is the age range of people who have been interested in this.
"I've seen a young boy writing a message about his great-grandfather and members of the older generation who are much closer to the memories and impact of the war.
"I wrote a message to a gunner who used to live in my house."
Swindon Stitch and Bitch also knitted poppies which in hanging baskets around the town centre.
