Wessex Male Choir are tuning up their voices in readiness for two Christmas concerts. The first is at Ashbury Village Hall on Saturday, December 15 and their own concert on Thursday, December 20 at 7.30pm, with special guests the Brunel Brass Ensemble, at St Mark’s Church, Swindon. Join the choir for a concert of festive music, mince pies, wine and Carols. The choir was founded in September 2001, and currently has around 50 members. The choir won first position in the Male Choir competition at Llangollen International Eisteddfod in July 2011, beating choirs from Wales, England, and the USA. Wessex won the coveted Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival 2016 for best choir in all competitions (also won in 2008 and 2013).
