A CHILD of 13 suffered a broken leg after she was assaulted by two girls while waiting for a bus.
The teen was at the stop outside New College in Queens Drive at 7pm on Thursday when the girls, who are known to her, attacked.
Det Con Emma Wood, of Swindon CID, said: “This was a nasty incident which left a young girl with an injury to her leg.
“We are really keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault take place – Queens Drive is a busy road and it is likely there would have been people passing by, either walking or in vehicles.”
The police say the investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
