AN ACCIDENT between Junctions 12 and 13 of the M4 eastbound closed all lanes eastbound.
Long queues formed while the emergency services deal with the accident.
But by 9.30am, all lanes were clear, although it is expected to take some time to get back to normal.
Separately, one lane has been closed further up the motorway between Junctions 14 and 13 at around 7.30am due to another accident in the queues approaching the Junction 13 closure.
In other traffic news a bit closer to home, heavy traffic is clogging up the A3102 Swindon Road at Royal Wootton Bassett, with travel times of up to eight minutes, while queues of vehicles on Whitehill Way heading out of town have increased travel times along that road to nine minutes.
Traffic along Beechcroft Road and Whitworth Road around the Moonrakers roundabouts, and along Great Western Way, is slow as usual - travel time is six minutes.
The stretch of Marlborough Road between the Coate roundabout and Piper's Way, and the part of Gipsy Lane between Cirencester Way and the Dockle Farmhouse roundabout are also slowing to a crawl.
