THE Hoopers called the police after discovering the graffiti but were disheartened by the force's response.

They fear that whoever was responsible for the vandalism won't be caught because the police closed the case.

A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “We received a report on December 31 regarding criminal damage to an address in Taw Hill, Swindon.

"Offensive words were sprayed on the wall and fence of the property.

“Due to there being no lines of enquiry, no CCTV opportunities, no forensic opportunities or witnesses, the incident has been closed as undetected.

"If any further information comes to light, it will be reopened and investigated.

“Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54180123087.”
