A PAIR of runaway dogs died after they were struck by motorway traffic, police have said.
Officers put a rolling road block in place on the M4 yesterday after reports of two dogs on the westbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 14.
Thames Valley Police roads policing unit tweeted: “Sadly, both dogs were struck and unable to survive their injuries. We took them to the local vet who identified the owner from the microchips and the owner has been informed.”
