TODAY is the last day for parents to get their applications in for their children’s primary school place.
Councillor Mary Martin, Swindon Borough Council’s cabinet member for children and school attainment, said: “It’s hugely important that parents submit their applications for a primary school place before the deadline.
“Our school admissions team works extremely hard, and with great success, to ensure that children are accepted into one of the parents’ three preferred choice schools, and I urge people to get their applications in if they haven’t done so already.”
Parents can request a place in up to three schools and last year saw nearly 99 per cent of applicants get one of their preferences.
The council’s admissions office is confident it can gain the same results as last year but is reminding parents that it is only dependant on applications being submitted before January 15.
Paper applications forms are now no longer accepted. To apply, log on to https://bit.ly/2Qi92qr.
