Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has warned that they are currently experiencing problems with their switchboards.
In a statement the Trust said:
"We have had a power problem overnight, which means that our phone switchboard (01793 604020) isn't working.
"If you need to contact the hospital, please see https://www.gwh.nhs.uk/wards-and-services/, and call the number directly."
They also added that if people are making a trip to A&E to only visit if it is an an emergency as that the service is very busy today.
"If you are due to attend for another reason, then please do so as planned, unless you are advised otherwise.
"Main roads around the hospital have been cleared, and so the site is accessible, but the car park is still slippery, so please be careful."
