RESIDENTS IN Haydon End had a very rude awakening at 4am on Sunday morning after youths were reportedly outside a home screaming and shouting, kicking doors and throwing bottles, resulting in a broken window.
They were further disturbed by two offenders bellowing obscenities at officers and assaulting a constable as they were arrested.
A 17 year old girl and an 18 year old male, both from Priory Vale, were taken to Gablecross Police Station where they were interviewed.
Karen Connor said on Facebook: “Thank you Swindon North Police for your swift response and patience in trying to calm them down before taking action to arrest them! Shocking and sad behaviour!”
Lisa Kendall added: “This happened right outside my house! Thank you for getting the off our street!”
Helen White said: “Unfortunately some residents did not get back to sleep. I have been up since 4am due to the disgusting behavior of these individuals. I am thankful to the police for their response and arresting them. Shame that these individuals had to throw a barrage of disgusting abuse at the officers amongst other stuff!”
