Prospect Hospice opened its 18th shop which will help raise funds for the charity by selling a wide range of clothes, bric-a-brac and furniture at clearance prices.

The new retail outlet for the hospice is at Basepoint Business Centre in Westlea and will be open 9am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Prospect Hospice’s interim head of retail Andrea Piper said: “There is a high demand for donated goods and this new shop is a fantastic opportunity for Prospect Hospice to expand our retail operation and offer reduced price clearance products to our customers.

“We're looking forward to welcoming people to see the fantastic items we have on offer, and talk about volunteering and fundraising with us."

“We successfully trialled a clearance stall at Blunsdon Market and Car Boot Sale for several months with the support of a dedicated team of volunteers and loyal customers. We wanted to find a more permanent base for this exciting venture and the Basepoint Business Centre offers that. They have made us feel very welcome as the new licensee.
