A FIGHT ended with a man being stabbed in the side.
Detectives have appealed for anyone who witnessed the Railway Village fight to come forward.
Emergency crews, including armed police officers, were called to Exeter Street at around 7.30pm on Thursday to reports of a fight.
Wiltshire Police said the brawl had started in a house, before spilling out onto the street. A 30-year-old man was stabbed in his side and taken to Great Western Hospital. The injury is not thought to be life-threatening.
A Swindon man, 40, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.
Police believe the two men were known to each other.
Appealing for witnesses, Det Insp Paul Hacker of Swindon CID said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident or heard the altercation. We need the help of the local community to put together exactly what happened yesterday evening."
