FISHING gear worth thousands was stolen from a Moredon shed.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the stolen kit to come forward.
Veneta Hannibal, a local crime investigator, said: "The victim is understandably upset following the break in and theft of the fishing gear. If you are aware of anyone offering these items for sale please contact us. Equally if you were in the area and saw any suspicious activity, come forward and help us to identify those responsible."
In total, the gear was worth £6,000. The stolen items included: a Shimano Aero Technium reel, Trakker rod sleeve, Trakker tempest bivvy, Century landing net, Century graphene spod rod 12ft, Century Graphene-12ft Carp Rod.
The fishing equipment was stolen from a shed on Moredon Road at some point between 4pm on January 27 and 6.30pm the next day.
