FIERY dragons danced their way out of Swindon Museum & Art Gallery, as children marked Chinese New Year with colourful creations.
Families spent the day making the jumping dragons at the Bath Road museum.
Olivia Frost, museum assistant, said: “Today, we’re learning about Chinese New Year and different cultures. They get to have fund and they get to visit the museum and find out what we do here.”
She joked: “This is the Year of the Pig and obviously Swindon means ‘Pig Hill’.”
Christina Guindy, 42, from Old Town, had brought her two children along: “It’s really fun. My children get to do an activity and I take them round the museum.”
Rosie Bethell, five, from Old Town, said she had named her red-and-yellow creation La La: “It’s very colourful.”
Dad Gareth, 38, added: “I think it’s great there’s something like this for the children. We come to the museum a lot and there’s always something going on.”
