A GIRL needed hospital treatment after being hit by a car yesterday.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a pedestrian crossing in Royal Wootton Bassett on Station Road.
Drivers were diverted and the road was closed while paramedics treated the girl at the scene.
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at just before 3.20pm to Station Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, after a road traffic collision involving a female patient.
"She was treated on scene by paramedics and taken onto hospital for further treatment."
The girl's injuries are not thought to be serious.
