POLICE stepped up their patrols to crack-down on crime in different areas of Swindon.
Swindon South Police Team 4 conducted patrols in Wroughton and worked remotely from the Ellendune Centre to combat anti-social behaviour in the area.
Other members of the team responded to recent reports of ASB and drug activity in Old Town by carrying out reassurance patrols aroundt he Town Gardens on Saturday. Luckily, there was nothing around except for a few squirrels.
Meanwhile, in North Swindon, PCSOs tackled speeding in Eastrop, Highworth as a priority by spending an hour there on Saturday and giving several offending drivers strong words of advice.
Along with the speed checks, they visited the Extinction Rebellion protest on Kingshill Road, responded to reports of two shoplifters at an Asda and one at TK Maxx, arrested one person for domestic assault, another for breach of court bail, and a third who will be recalled to prison.
