BLUNSDON House Hotel has warned dog owners to keep off its golf course.
The hotel said local dog walking groups promoted the hotel's former golf course, which closed in January, as a walking destination.
A spokesperson for the hotel said: "This is private property and such activity has never been agreed or discussed with the hotel."
"While we love dogs at BHH, many of our customers do not and we have a duty of care to maintain a safe environment for all of our guests."
