MURDER detectives investigating the death of Swindon man Darren Carley have ended their search of a Gloucestershire home.
Lancashire Police refused to say whether or not they had found anything of interest at the flat in Cinderford, Forest of Dean. Detectives’ search began on Monday last week.
The couple currently living at the flat were in no way connected to the investigation, Lancashire Police said.
The force said: "We would like to thank the local community, the occupants of the property and the housing association for their patience and understanding while we conducted our work."

Police had been searching the house in connection with the 2002 death of Mr Carley. The Park North man was 24 when he disappeared in January 2002.
Last year, it was announced that advances in DNA testing meant human remains found in Lancashire in summer 2002 had been identified as Darren’s. Two people were arrested in October on suspicion of murder.
A year after Mr Carley’s disappearance, Swindon police appeared to raise a potential link with Cinderford. The dialling code for the Gloucestershire town had been found on the Carley family telephone records.
