PROSPECT Hospice has won accreditation from a national organisation for its education services.

The facility in Wroughton was visited by an external inspector from the Northern Council for Further Education, who talked with staff to evaluate the services they provide.

During the inspection the council recognised it as a well-organised education centre, offering efficient courses to learners.

Education manager at the hospice Rachel Chronnell said: “We are delighted that NCFE/Cache have given their approval for the education courses that we offer here at the hospice and that we have achieved their accreditation for a further two years.

“I was particularly pleased with the very positive feedback from learners which helped us to achieve this prestigious accreditation.

“It was very pleasing that the inspector found that our management systems and administrative arrangements were all found to be excellent, and no further action is required on our part.”

The hospice’s education services are keen to encourage more learners to get in touch to find out more about the end-of-life training care courses they offer.
