A FESTIVAL promoting a greener and sustainable living will return in Spring.

This year’s Eco Fest will be themed around Your Eco Lifestyle with tips and suggestions from local environmental groups. The festival is free to attend and will host talks arts and crafts activities.

It is organised by Swindon Climate Action Network and Eastcott Community Organisation, the charity managing Savernake Street Social Hall on behalf of Swindon Borough Council.

Simon Smith of SCAN said: “The Swindon Eco Fest is now in its 4th year and has become increasingly popular each year. The grant that SCAN has received from the Midcounties Co-op will enable us to meet the costs of organising the event and offer free activities such as arts and crafts – all with a green theme.’’

Events co-ordinator Anish Harrison added: "Eastcott Community Organisation is thrilled to be supporting the fantastic work of SCAN with another Eco Fest. This festival is becoming a firm-favourite in our local calendar and it is a great opportunity to promote greener living, whilst supporting community cohesion. This is a great extension to some of our smaller events, such as the Repair Café and Free Shop.”

The festival is due to be held at the Savernake Street Social Hall on April 14.
