A TEENAGER has been badly beaten after a gang wearing balaclavas attacked him.
The 15-year-old was set upon when he refused to hand over his bike to five males behind the Shaw Ridge Leisure Complex on Saturday March 16 at around 5pm.
The gang punched him in the face causing fractures to his eye and nose.
A member of the public ran to help and the attackers fled the scene.
Acting Sgt James Rodriques at Wiltshire Police said: “The group consisted of four white males and one black male - they were all dressed in black and were wearing balaclavas so it is difficult to say how old they were.
“This was a nasty and unprovoked incident which has left a 15-year-old boy with fractures to his face which have required treatment at hospital.
“We are carrying out a thorough investigation into this incident and we would urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack, who may be able to assist our enquiries, to call us on 101."
