WILTSHIRE Police smashed its fundraising target for this year's Down's Syndrome awareness week by selling more than 1,000 pairs of odd socks.
The sales raised more than £3,000 for the Down's Syndrome Association.
The police force employs a number of people with Down's Syndrome at stations around the county and wished to thank its officers, staff and everyone who helped them reach and exceed their fundraising goal.
Wiltshire Police supported the Swindon Down's Syndrome Group's campaign to raise money through sales of odd socks for its WorkFit scheme. The scheme provides support to young people with Down’s Syndrome in paid employment, work experience or training to help them progress into full-time work, and provides valuable training and resources to employers.
Two-year-old Kylo Archer became the face of the group's awareness campaign throughout the week.
