ROADS around the town centre will be shut today while the Honda march is being carried out.
County Road will be closed to all traffic from 9am. Fleming Way, Princes Street, Commercial Road, Milton Road, Faringdon Road will all be closed from 11:15am. A rolling road block will be in operation to ensure that these roads can be reopened as soon as possible after the marchers have passed through safely.
The County Ground car park will be closed to vehicles to allow space for the marchers to gather and for coaches bringing in supporters from elsewhere in the country. For directions to alternative parking, follow signs to Spring Gardens, Princes Street and Wyvern, Whalebridge or Fleming Way car parks which are a few minutes’ walk away.
The march is scheduled to leave the County Ground car park at 11.30am and will conclude around 90 minutes later in Faringdon Road park. Local residents are being urged to use the bus services where possible.
