THERE’S an old song called Twenty Tiny Fingers about a couple who have twins.
A personalised version for Swindon couple Rob and Debbie Keeping this week in 1979 would have been called Forty Tiny Fingers.
The arrival of their quadruplets was the biggest story of the week, and we include two of our images in this selection from editions of the newspaper.
Other items on the news agenda during those few days 40 years ago ranged from industrial action to an impending performance by a solicitor turned lion tamer.
