NORTH Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson blasted "out-of-touch" politicians in his own party and in Labour for blocking Brexit and causing another delay.
The Prime Minister and EU leaders agreed in the early hours of this morning to extend the Brexit deadline from tomorrow to October 31, though Britain could leave the EU before Halloween if a deal is agreed in the House of Commons.
Mr Tomlinson said: "I've voted to deliver Brexit at every opportunity. If every MP who had promised to do so had, we wouldn't need this extension, we would have left last month.
"The public are rightly angry at all those out-of-touch MPs who have sought to frustrate and block Brexit.
"Labour MPs and, regrettably, a handful of my colleagues promised in their election leaflets they'd deliver Brexit, yet have opposed every stage of the Brexit bill, causing repeated defeats. This has to stop.
"We still can and should deliver Brexit before May 22, the deadlock has to be broken, we have to deliver the democratic will and back the PM's deal."
