Swindon Soroptimists celebrated their centenary in 2019 by donating £100 to Save The Children.
The club is part of an international organisation that helps to improve the lives of women and girls.
To mark the occasion, the federation president Sue Williams asked clubs to donate £100 to the charity. The Swindon club raised their contribution through raffles and a donation from a member.
Fidelma Meehan, the local fundraising manager for STC, said: “I would like to thank the group for their generous donation of £100 which will help us in our work with children.”
Lydia Cardew, Project officer for Swindon Soroptimists said: “We were surprised to learn new facts about STC and how well established they are in so many countries, which gives them the ability to hit the ground running when disasters strike.”
It is providing aid to Yemen and £100 can buy ten hygiene kits or therapeutic milk for a severely malnourished child.
