A POSTCODE Lottery celebration has been called off tomorrow because of high winds and rain.

Storm Hannah threatened to bring gusts of up to 75 mph to large parts of the UK, including Swindon, during Friday and Saturday.

The People's Postcode had planned to reveal the lucky jackpot winners of its monthly millions draw at Lydiard Park but has called it off over health and safety fears.

It revealed players in the Toothill and Freshbrook areas will get a share of a £3m pot this week. The biggest winners, who could win a maximum of £400,000, were going to be announced tomorrow.

Players were told today: "It has been a tough decision to make but due to the terrible wet weather and high winds that have been forecast we have unfortunately decided to cancel our winner event tomorrow.

"The safety of both our players and our team is very important to us."

Residents with the full winning postcode will be told on the company's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram tonight.

Last month, the millions draw landed in Fareham which saw over 450 people share the prize, with four people picking up the top prize of £250,000 each

Full details will go on the website tomorrow morning at www.postcodelottery.co.uk
