A BAKER’S dozen have been put forward by Great Western Hospital chiefs for recognition at national NHS awards.
The Marlborough Road hospital has nominated 13 members of staff for the NHS Parliamentary Awards, which each year recognises the contribution of health service workers of all stripes and levels.
In an update for GWH’s executive board, Nerissa Vaughan, chief executive of the trust, said: “One of our key priorities is to recognise our staff and celebrate some of their amazing achievements.
“Whether they are doctors, pharmacists, nurses on the frontline, or much needed clerical staff and volunteers, they have been there to support us in delivering safe and quality care.
“The 2019 NHS Parliamentary Awards provide an excellent opportunity to work with our local MPs in letting our staff know how much they mean to us and the community they serve each day.”
She added: “Our hope is for all our outstanding staff and volunteers to be nationally recognised for their hard work, innovative ideas and unwavering efforts to put patients first.”
The NHS Parliamentary Awards are presented on July 10.
