CHILDREN will learn how to deal with emotion during relaxation sessions.

Reiki therapist Jennifer Louise Law will be in Swindon on September 8 to teach young children about the Japanese spiritual healing method.

“Children are so open to the whole concept of healing energy and are excited to be able to take part at a young age,” said Jennifer. “I feel the age of seven is a good age to teach an ‘intention’. Our intention is important with Reiki because we focus our good intentions and the Reiki energy flows.

“I teach level one to children which means they can give Reiki to themselves, family and pets. Life can be stressful not only for adults but for children as well and if they have Reiki literally on tap whenever they need it, then they can help themselves to feel calmer, less stressed and able to cope.”

Jennifer said that the calming practice of Reiki can benefit children by promoting relaxation and confidence.

She added: “Learning about Reiki and how to use Reiki at a young age promotes a healthy way of living for the rest of their lives, helping them to make better choices, helping them to relax and to sleep better.

“My experience of teaching Reiki to children has been amazing. Each child brings a parent or guardian with them to practice and when you see the loving hugs and smiles after the reiki session you’re reminded just how powerful Reiki energy is.”

There will be three sessions at 9am, midday and 3pm of no more than six children aged between seven to 12.

The classes will be held at Shaw Ridge Leisure Park.
